I simultaneously love these posts because they are wildly creative and hilarious, and I also hate them because they are revolting.

Thank you to and who were super kind to send me an advanced copy of this book, which is out today. You should buy it. It's essential. In fact this should be the first in a whole series of single subject graphic novel cookbooks, cc

Can confirm. Have used both an online ticketing system for my popup ( , thanks Nick) and a standard line. We sell way faster with higher volume when the event is ticketed. I don’t think most people like lines. But they CAN be a marketing tool early on.

I get told this all the time by VCs or potential investors. It’s always about how to scale it to get rich. Never about the food. They fail to realize that by scaling you degrade the quality that made it popular in the first place.

Searched “table for one,” which inexplicably was an inside joke my friends and I used to have. And there you were in your tuxedo glory.

I recently stumbled onto that White Castle Valentine’s Day video you did. You could def do a TV show, YouTube series, whatever.

I also don’t know how I feel about “competition” being a reason for closure here. We’re talking one ramen shop next door. Is that all it takes? Be better than your competition.

Homemade miso is kinda ugly... but wow it’s delicious. This is a shinshu White, fermented about 2 months.
