I realised after I typed it that it could sound sinister. Not the intention. He’s such a twit.

Ekaterina Semenchuk is being short-changed here, I think.

Thank you very much. Ashamed to say I have never listened with headphones to the Digital Concert Hall, so no acid test, just naked ears and a laptop. I'd be very surprised if the sound is less than excellent. The sound on the Beethoven concerto set is fabulous.

Depends on the translation. I'm honestly not being an original language queen. And now I've forgotten the rhyme that made me laugh out loud in Lucrezia Borgia.

'I've come to fix your fridge' sounds better when dubbed.

it was a question, not a judgement call. I'm baffled why the language issue is rolled out over and over again, when so many people enjoy foreign language film and tv.

That's a really good point. And comedy is a real challenge, whether it's the sung text or surtitles, it's hard to get the joke to land at the right place.

Did you use surtitles?

People have been having this argument since 1711. I think there's room for both, though I'm not sure how I'd feel if I listened to Grimes in German, say. I don't think the language is necessarily the thing that puts people off.
