We have to start fact-checking live. Ideally hosts/presenters would do it, or a colleague in their ear-piece. This descent into unchallenged but blatant lies moving into the mainstream began with Farage, who has even lied about an ‘assassination attempt’. God know where it ends.

No parties or permanent committees or groups of any form. Every MP votes by his or her own moral compass, as dictated by the people of their constituency. This does however require that Murdoch is held to account for his media empires lies and half/mis truths...

If you apply for planning permission and fail to start the build withing 3 years you have to apply again. Just wondering how long this mandate for brexit remains a mandate for brexit. It's been 3 long years and 20 days since the ref. The mandate is no longer valid

Time is running out for Labour to come out in favour of a People’s Vote and campaign unambiguously to remain in the EU. I joined Labour to stand up to the hard right, not facilitate it. Our complicity in Brexit will not be forgiven.

After studying science, philosophy, theology and socio economic history for many years, I have concluded that the big problem is that so many people are fucking stupid.

Apparently NOT going ahead with is certain to be the end of the Tory Party, and possibly even the Labour Party, and I'm not gonna lie - I'm struggling to see a downside to this picture 🤔

No word I've come across better sums up Brexit than "Zugzwang". The German chess term for when you are compelled to move, but where all potential moves are disadvantageous and you just cannot win.

So does being an MP require signing some kind of security clearance document of sorts? I understand that has a 'thou shalt be loyal to the monarch' in it...

By being the biggest non government parliamentary party, aren't they given the title of HMO automatically?

Being in the UK right now is how I imagine it would be if you found yourself in a high level scientology meeting. All the people in charge are talking utter bollocks and they appear to actually believe what they are saying. Surreal.

James Acaster's teabag metaphor is quite possibly the most irreverently brilliant comment ever made on Brexit.
