Joe Biden out in public for first time since early March and with a full Secret Service detail as presumptive nominee. Previous Secret Service protection ended when he left office as VP.

I do agree. I don't think the argument for taking it down is that "the world would be safer." I think it's that Trump, like everyone who uses Twitter, should be obliged to adhere to the terms of service just like the rest of us.

Jay is right. If you had an employee who did what Trump is doing here, you'd fire him. If you had a friend who did this, you'd stop being friends. If you had a family member acting like Trump here, you'd desperately try to intervene.

What Trump is engaged in here is sick beyond belief. All people of good will -- and even some with less than good will -- should reckon with it.

The first 100,000 is a great tragedy. But it will be the next 100,000 dead from re-opening recklessly and lack of courage, vision, leadership & testing from Trump that will be written in every history book until the end of time.

This human catastrophe did not have to be so bad. History will not look kindly at the botched response to repeated warnings over the course of months that this pandemic was coming.

The losses suffered by our American family have been staggering — every story heartbreaking in its own way. As we near 100,000 lives lost, we pray for those who have passed, their loved ones and all who are working to save lives & protect our communities.

Why local journalism matters, now more than ever. was able to put together this deeply moving portrait of the lives lost in the outbreak only because of the crucial reporting on deaths by these local news organizations.

100,000. As the U.S. approaches this grim milestone, we're remembering those who have died from the coronavirus. Imagine a city of 100,000 residents that was here for New Year’s Day but has now been wiped from the map.

Close to 100,000 dead. 36 million unemployed. This is the age of Trump.
