Oh I'm always teaching them new games, often something new every week. I think they really enjoyed Photosynthesis, partly because it's such a looker on the table it makes great first impressions.

My spreadsheet of artists is now several hundred names long. One thing I've noticed is that some peoples contact details are so hard to track down I basically have to give up. How do y'all get jobs!?

Last minute number changes (as per usual) so it was a 4 player night instead! We played Splendor and Photosynthesis, both new games to my friends and the latter to myself. Always a bit sketchy when I first teach a game because it's hard to know the best strategies for tips.

It's hard enough explaining the rules to games in English, let alone a second language. A good friend of mine is Polish, she's borrowed my copy of Secrets to take on holiday with her and translate to her family. Not everyone is a walking translator sadly!

Do you love reading rule books? For me I'm a much more visual learner, I'd rather watch a video and then read the rules afterwards so I have something to hang those mechanics against in my mind.

I mean, there's so much of it. Where does it all come from? It's clearly a conspiracy.

Cloth, vinyl or seamless roll paper. Plus points is it's versitile to products of a wide variety of different sizes rather than light boxes which tend to benefit small box games only.

My follower count goes up and down on a daily basis. I like to think it's people following me because I said something fun about board games. Then they realized, I pretty much only talk about them all day long on here and noped the fuck out. I'm not even sorry.

I don't use light boxes either. My personal preference is using a soft box light set up instead but I suppose it depends what you're looking to photograph.

Is that some Lina Cossette character art on the cover? Looking purdy.

The more I play the more fascinated I get in how the cogs all fit together too so I can definitely see the appeal.

I love punching any game, as long as the punchboard doesn't tear on me, then it can be a little more stressful. I also love games that come with spare bags.. and when you need a bag you know you've got one right over on the shelf. Very pleasing.

Good question. I love Incan Gold because of it's absolute purity, Megaland has more to it, but I haven't really played it enough to form an opinion yet.

There's Tabletop Scotland before that, but I think the next one afterwards is that one in London yeah!

I keep hearing good things about this but I am always curious of the novelty factor behind push your luck games. The only reason why I hesitate is because I have Incan Gold and now Megaland. Does it scratch a suitably different itch do you think?
