If you are comfortable with sharing and have a few minutes, a chrome://tracing trace taken with the "blink_gc" and "v8.gc" categories (including disabled by default) would be equally awesome.

Can you file an issue on , including the repro steps and Chrome version(s). We are aware of some problems and are actively working in that area. Would be good to double-check what's going on though.

Already excited about wasm/js/DOM graphs that are mostly traced, contain bits of ref counting, and rely on phantom handles and finalizers :)

That's for the full GC dealing with both generations. For collecting just the young gen we rely on a parallel semispace copy (scavenger).

On recent releases V8's GC uses concurrent marking and sweeping with incremental fallbacks and parallel compaction.
