I’ve been that person. The slow realization that you are not getting back on is pretty heartbreaking.

The form can’t handle them or the backend doesn’t work properly? It looks like it returns “no results found” so it seemed to accept the apostrophe first time round.

There are nearly 150 HTML elements. Only 2 have no semantic meaning. Guess which one. DIV and SPAN. The only HTML elements that convey absolutely no meaning. In an attempt to improve accessibility, many demonise the div and span. People abandon the DIV for the SECTION 🙂

Apparently a non-trivial number of systems are experiencing bugs. A common Y2K "fix" just postponed things by 20 years, interpreting 00-19 as the 2000s and 20-99 as the 1900s. 20 years is now up, some of those systems are still in use, and they think it's 1920. Oooops.

Happy New Year!! I know many of you work on side-projects, projects where you don't have the benefit of a product & design team. I'm betting a bunch of y'all have goals to create something new in 2020! Thought I'd share a thread with all my favourite resources:

I just spent 20 minutes not realizing I used px instead of em and wondering why my header text was so small. I cannot wait for this year to end 🥱
