Really didn't expect it to reach so many people 🙈. Thanks for all the nice comments. Only put this up to show her things change and she'll love it in time!

WOW!!! Amazed at all the positive comments received. Genuinely thought it would only be a few likes! My daughter's certainly felt the red head love today! Thank you all for helping prove my point! 🧡🧡🧡

1. So...... now we seem to have slowed down a little I thought it only fair to share my thoughts and reasonings with you. As the parent of a red head child I have had plenty of occasions when my daughter has come home upset due to comments about her hair.

2. Tuesday afternoon she received some pretty disgusting messages ( these are being dealt with in the correct manner ), her immediate message to me was “ IM FED UP OF EVERYONE CALLING ME CARROT AND THAT “ followed by other messages. For a parent this is hard to take.

3. As a parent we have many roles to play in our children’s lives, and we have to reassure them when needed. This is where my Tweet came to life. We have had many conversations over the years when I have explained she may not like her hair now but will when older.

4. Myself, her mom, family and friends have always told her this and I know deep down she knows this herself. As I was sat looking on Twitter I thought ‘ let’s Tweet so she can see others thoughts on her hair ‘. Little did I know the impact it would have!

5. I have received some amazing messages which I have and will continue to pass on! Comments from parents in the same situation! People replying who have been in the situation and passing on their own experiences! All in all some very positive replies!

6. Unfortunately there have also been a few let’s say negative replies, and due to how quick they were coming in I couldn’t track them all, so if any have got through and offended I’m sorry about that.

7. I did this so my daughter could see that there is a lot more positive reaction to her hair than the few negatives she regularly encounters. Not everyone will agree with the approach I took and each to their own, but for me and my daughter this has been a positive experience!

8. We tell our daughter everyday she is amazing and her hair is amazing! All the likes and comments have done is confirm what we tell her. She will always listen to us as we are her parents and role models, but it doesn’t hurt her seeing others positivity.

9. What started out as a small Tweet from myself has highlighted this was and still is an issue! Albeit way less insignificant than other issues! I hope the thread, comments, retweet’s may of been appreciated by others throughout, its certainly been appreciated here!

10. On a lighter note thanks for slowing it down! Was going to cost me £20 if it had a million likes 😂😂. Thanks for all comments, messages, retweets, likes and have a fantastic day 😁
