A homage to Maternity styles of the early 1960s, The Duchess sported a stylish, modest, comfortable shift dress; in auspicious Welsh red, which maximised visibility. We trust the lace was bespoke? Catherine looked glowing, William thrilled. Her only pause; care down the steps!

In the light of my own experience, across JMI and Secondary, I would add that children are also ‘held back’ after Key Stage 1 to inflate value-added data. Expensive staged reading and writing programmes are managed to inflate Key Stage assessments & assure Senior staff targets.

Olga reminded me so much of my beloved dog Lucky, who died at 18 years old. Feel for Paul, she’s been a true friend to him.
