Just a reminder that Republicans blocked us from subpoenaing Kavanaugh documents from his time at the White House and have been keeping a majority of his records from the public. Americans deserve better than a rushed process.

so you get to feel however you want about her or her work. but there's a reason there aren't many people who know her with a bad thing to say about her. there's a measure of respect she's earned. with that in mind, i salute her, wish her well, and encourage you to do the same.

Republicans are trying to hide Kavanaugh’s record from the public, so that he can tilt the balance of the Supreme Court to the far right for a generation  —  all without the American people ever knowing fully what they’re getting. That’s not right.

Serena could die on the court and they would still require a post-mortem drug test. Serena is targeted for being a woman of color. Serena has done so many positive things for tennis and they treat her unequivocally. Don't @ me.

Serena Williams didn't have a meltdown. She defended her honor on one of the grandest stages in a sport she's dominated for her entire adult life that continually disrespects her. Don't reduce her justified frustration to sexist behavioral stereotypes.

PLEASE STOP TELLING PEOPLE THAT VOTING AND PROTEST ARE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE ACTIONS IN A FUNCTIONING DEMOCRACY. THAT IS FALSE. ENGAGED CITIZENS ARE THOSE WHO VOTE WHEN POSSIBLE AND PROTEST WHEN NECESSARY.

Serena is wearing this attire for medical reasons. Literally. But we all know this is not about the suit. It’s about controlling the Black woman who has dominated this sport. And part of me wants her to pull out of the Open. For medical reasons. And to make a point.
