Congrats to Phil Gosselin! Dream comes true. He’s being called up to his hometown Phillies! Malvern Prep alum grew up a huge Phillies fan. Had Darren Daulton locker in his bedroom “Pretty surreal putting on the uni. I never thought I’d be able to put on this uni. It’s special”

That said, I’ve only rolled back once, generally have found rolling forwards more successful

Of course spinning up a fresh cluster is always preferred but sometimes it’s worse the risk. Best upgrades I have done of calico have been decoupled from other upgrades (e.g K8s, kops, etcd)

Depends on how drastic, minor upgrade or are you doing a major upgrade like switching to CRDs? I’ve had issues at my previous job but many of those have been fixed and haven’t seen issues in a few years.

I've been administering clusters now for over a year. I've always been curious about Fargate, and the claim "it's really easy!". So I deployed an app to Fargate. Here's what happened....

When I primarily do code/design reviews, wade into company/industry politics, write arch/vision docs, support a team, etc., sometimes it's hard to see the immediate value. On the other hand, when I fix a bug I feel great. Moral: savor your time as a junior dev - it's fun.

I’d say, golang, spf13 viper and spf13 cobra really make things a lot easier in CLI world. You may also want to look at apis that can be generated, I know a number of the apis we use for Kops have generators that make them much easier to develop against.

This is M87* and this the first image of a black hole! Mass is 6.5 Billion suns within size of a solar system. Precious because real. Waited 25 years for this. Dark shadow is where light disappears in . We see something never seen before.

Hi there! No worries. Thanks for reaching out! As far as I know, we’re not doing anything unique but I don’t use it as much as I used to. The image is directly build from this code so what you see is what you get! hope that helps!

I try to write it. I usually get to spec: then have to search for something to copy and paste... then I feel like I yaml fail.
