This was AFTER Democratic Party was able to absorb leaders the mass immigrant rights movement of 2005, promising to be their champion. These imm rights activists fought to get Obama elected. Then he & abandoned them—only until militant organizing made that untenable

Remember that Obama only passed some positive immigration reforms because undocumented youth did constant, nationwide civil disobedience at ICE facilities & Obama events with frequent disruptions & arrests. Not at all because anyone “inside the system” made it happen as promised

The political establishment does what we want when we make it impossible for them not too with focused grassroots pressure that *stops business as usual*—never by “pushing” them from within. There’s a reason they emphasize for us to “work within the system”—it’s how they stop us!

“pushing” biden to the left is literally not happening. he won’t drop everything he supports to support m4a or a gnd. stop telling me to put my energy into pushing a moderate. it won’t work.

You’re part of the problem if your instinct is now demand focus on getting Biden elected. Elections are only one arena of struggle—and it’s not even the most important one. We have a chance now to build something effective with newly radicalized ppl—advocating Biden does opposite

If your first thought after Bernie exit is to tell people to suck it up & vote Biden—and not to get involved in grassroots political organizing to keep fighting for your principles—you totally miss the gravity of this political moment & implications for new generation of struggle

The Bernie campaign was just one stage in a fight against the billionaire class and their loyal political & media functionaries. We take it to the next stage by getting organized with like-minded activists, not with the Democratic Party. You’re not alone!

I’m voting for for President in 2020! Don’t compromise your principles, don’t give up the fight for M4A, and all the other pillars of justice & equality you fought so hard for in the Bernie campaign!

10min after polls close he changes his whole story and says people never should’ve voted. Is he senile or sociopathic?

Meaning he wants Bernie to convince all his supporters to vote for him so he can abandon all progressive demands once he’s in office, as evidenced by his entire right-wing career. Can’t do it sorry

Lmao Biden’s “voting in wartime analogy” only makes sense if we literally voted on the battlefield in Civil War/WWII. Like the ballot box was in the trenches & we had to low crawl under machine gun fire to reach them.

You can disagree with Biden telling everyone in Wisconsin to risk dying & killing others by voting today, but you have to admit he makes an eloquent and passionate case for why
