working on the elemental planes. They're going to be a bit different, more Moorcock in many ways.

Will the Primordials be back? I loved the concept behind them.

yes, with some lore shifts I believe, but they fit nicely with the re-imagined elemental planes

More the feel, but some cosmological changes to make that feel work.

Think of each plane as a world, a place with kingdoms and such and races that have enmities, rivalries, and alliances.

Plane of fire has an ash desert inhabited by salamander fiefdoms, a chain of volcanoes with a kingdom of azers, etc.

A little bit - more thinking of them a worlds where fire/earth/air/water dominate.

I hope it doesn't contradict Planescape too much. I want to still be able to use Monte's book.

So, not worlds that are literally made of fire/earth/air/water? That seems like too much of a change.

Kind of - think of these as border regions between a world made of fire and the material world, fusion of the two

Interesting. So the "real" plane of fire (where efreet, fire elementals, etc. come from) is somewhere else?

Kind of - it's still coming together, but the idea is to leave open the concept of a pure elemental plane
