Saffron records in St Austell. The owner used to save records back that he thought I might like and I would pop in after school to have a look. He told me to buy “ladies and gentlemen we are floating space” - he was so right about that one.

Just a reminder that my sale started early this year. Lots of bargains on original hand printed artwork, pins and jewellery 🎄 I’ll be closing early for Christmas/maternity leave on December 10th

It’s so frustrating. It makes sense to keep it contained to my bubble of one person, rather than risk my friend catching it from me and then going home to spread it to her husband and 3 kids. A home birth feels quite tempting right now!

I think things are being done a little differently over here.

The FAQ states that birth partners are not tested. How do they screen them? Is it just the fact they live with me? I’m confused because whoever is my birth partner surely will become high risk themselves due to being in close proximity to me and my bodily fluids.

They are not testing birth partners - only people being admitted as patients. Is this different to screening?

It says the test is optional. I think I’m going to ask what happens if I turn it down.

That must be it. If I get my friend to come along then surely I’m then just risking passing it on to her, who will then go home to her family and they will all need to isolate as well. It’s all such a mess 😩

I’m glad it’s not just me 😂 I don’t understand the reasoning behind it.

Reading up on my hospital Covid birth policy. This makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Am I reading this incorrectly? If I test positive my partner can’t be with me because I live with him, but I can get a friend to come along instead if they are symptom free?

Did I see you running along the river on the Big Track around 12? Someone ran past me and I thought it was you but didn’t want to look like a weirdo randomly shouting “Lindaaaaaaaaaa!” at people

Beeston town centre has more shops open than closed 😕 newsagents are hardly essential.

I assume mine is open due to the post office, but the rest of the shop is still open 🤔 I went this morning to send some Etsy orders and town was as busy as it usually is. Nothing makes sense in this lockdown.
