Just to clarify, the number Jeff quoted is for the *whole* dataset (~[100 µm]^3]). The paper that came out yesterday also has comments on how to reduce that by up to an order of magnitude.

Check out a paper where we and our collaborators present a new type of recurrent neural network that can improve the accuracy of automated interpretation of connectomics data by an order-of-magnitude over previous deep learning techniques.
