Promoting career and technical education in every high school is a worthy goal. But we should also understand how CTE students fare. For this, listen to my colleague

So much of Mr. Trump's appeal has been based on his ability to play to people's anxieties and fears. Will "it's morning again in America" work for him? Will he prove to be a successful messenger for that message? Will his base in swing states respond to that message? Stay tuned.

Judging by tonight's , the president plans to campaign for reelection on a "it's morning again in America" theme. Going from "American carnage" to "everything is awesome" in three years is quite something.

"...flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential." "This American carnage stops right here and stops right now."

A 38–year-old mayor of a smallish city beating a former VP and a couple of Senators (not to mention outlasting everyone that dropped out) is a helluva story. Whatever happens next, that’s some accomplishment for Mayor Pete.

Senator Sanders’s position is clear: “Billionaires should not exist.” This is exactly the wrong message. A president should be rooting for more billionaires to exist. My latest column:

Trump has offered support to white nationalists on several occasions. That’s an economic problem as well as a social and moral one because social stability is necessary for prosperity. My latest column:
