Because of the Parkland teens, Chris Shields just decided to give up his AR-15. Now, the 18-year member of the military and owner of 10 guns, is calling on fellow gun owners to give theirs up too.

‘Giving up his rights’?! Only thing I saw him giving up was his AR-15

Hi Leon - would really like to understand more about what you mean by slippery slope.

Dude... Just for context... I grew up in Brooklyn, NY... East New York & Bed-Stuy to be exact. (the places u hear about in rap songs) U can't tell me nothing about the criminal element. No law-abiding American citizen needs an Assault Rifle to protect their family. 🖐️

We should also boycott Gun Shows and online sellers of assault weapons

How? There is a gun show every 2 weeks in Houston every year. Children of all ages are admitted with anyone over 21, does not need to be parent. Transactions are made. People bring cash. DM me if you have ideas.

Yes, you have a point. This whole issue has gotten ridiculous with trump wanting to arm teachers, etc. But we do have a problem, and there's no one magic cure, but a multi-pronged solution

Yes it’s a complicated issue. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do something. Stop the sale of military assault weapons is low hanging fruit. They’re fun to shoot. Okay, put them on gun ranges. people who want the experience can get it w/O owning. Better yet, join the military

No military assault rifle has ever been used in a mass shooting. Neither has any assault weapon because they’re not real. It’s a made up word invented by a propagandist just over 3 decades ago.

When he says at the end that he may lose friends over this, my first thought was if this is going to kill a friendship, what was that friendship built on? Maybe that relationship has run its course.

These kinds of cherry-picked lists are not honest comparisons. Where's all the South American countries? Or former Russian republics?

The stats are real, and are a comparison of similarly developed countries. So yes, that's how they are "cherry picked." But sure, compare to Honduras if that makes you feel better.

That lists 30 countries, 6 or so more than the prior list. 2A among many factors that interrelate.
