Effective immediately CBC Sports will stop the use of Indigenous names in reference to teams and symbols. This will be reflected in all published work across CBC Sports and CBC Olympics platforms.

Either "the Chicago NHL team" or "Chicago", depening on context.

Redskins is a derogatory word. Like calling them the N word, spick, crackers, etc. But the Seminole’s are not used by FSU in a negative way. If I’m not mistaken, they have tribe approval. I wonder how all this works.

Utah Utes, Central Michigan Chippewas and FSU Seminoles all have tribal permission to use the tribal names.
