What a colossal waste of money, to have teachers revert to a 20 year old, outdated and inaccurate curriculum and rewrite a perfectly good document from scratch because people are too lazy to read what was actually being taught.

The world has changed dramatically in the last 20 years. Curriculum must reflect that. The updated curriculum is progressive, inclusive and based in science. We cannot go back to pre-internet curriculum.

There are multiple places in the memorial that remind us there are *thousands* of stories we’ll never know the details of. Names that will never be called. These stories rise up in our spirit every time a black person is killed extrajudicially at the hands of police officers...

The latest dates I saw were in the 1940’s. As late as 47. Some lynched for something as simple as standing around a white space, “frightening” a white woman. Sh*t is sounding way too familiar right now.

Whiteness was a scam from the beginning. It allowed beleagured European peasants to feel in alliance with the ruling class rather than with their fellow non-European underlings But they weren't really ruling class. They just got fan club memberships with limited perks
