When I had taught Knock Down the House for my Women and Anger class, my students had been so upset about Cori Bush’s loss. Really happy about tonight’s results.

July 24 marked the anniversary of the Urdu writer Naiyer Masud's passing. It was one of the greatest honors to get to know him during the last years of his life. Please allow me to share a few links to essays on his work & life.1

I am so sorry. :( This is not a fix or anything but sometimes targeted stretches (for me, shoulders are a problem area) can ease the pain from sitting for long hours. But I hope you can get your PT back jaate Ei oshubidhe gulo na hoye.

This is so real! I know it’s not supposed to be this tiring to sit in one place and engage on a screen but it is — mentally, visually, and physically. I wonder if it gets better with time.

LES METAMORPHOSIS DU VAMPIRE one of six suppressed poems from Baudelaire's Les Fleurs Du Mal (1857). The ban on their publication was not lifted in France until 1949. The poem contains the decadent erotic line 'Impotent angels damn themselves for me'

Excellent session today on using Cove for teaching—potential for innovative online pedagogy and a chance to save students money by building your own anthology. Networking breakout sessions a great idea.

After you bake your usual brownies, sprinkle marshmallows on top, pop it in the oven (turned off but still hot) for 2-3 mins. I also broiled it for a minute in the end. Then cool your brownies as usual. (Thanks. Now I have 1 more follower than America‘s had presidents)!

Marshmallows on one side b/c I like them and no marshmallows on the other side b/c Sourav’s not a big fan. Surprisingly, he likes the marshmallows on brownies invention more than I do! (Also, I had no idea you were on twitter — following you!)
