Amphiamous the Famous Amphiuma seemed lethargic yesterday. I added some organic matter to decay which should make the water murky and give it stuff to burrow into. It should now feel safer.

These are small lizards endemic to Florida. They live in the sugar sand along the higher elevation ridges in the center of the peninsula and are a protected species because of their limited range. They literally swim through the sand and eat small arthropods.
