Fabulous Jane!Dad just sent me a newspaper clipping about your recent awards&recommended books to me. Had to smile& resist reminding him that I had in fact recommended said books to him first, having read &loved them long before I converted him to Harper fan-world!

It breaks my heart to hear my old primary school is down to just three enrolments.I was one of 80-100 students who thrived in this beautiful country school from kindy to year seven, with wonderful memories of a bustling, close-knit community.

Yes, me too. I’ve had two blocks of chocolate for over a month now, but if they were in the public domain, they would have been gone in a night! Best to have a public AND private supply of sweets, right?!

I have been known to have several different secret chocolate stashes on the go. Laundry cupboard behind the vacuum cleaner bag refills, in my overflowing scarf basket and at the back of my smalls drawer. It’s a smart idea!

On Friday, he’s her hook up. On Monday, she’s his boss. A steamy Australian workplace romance that starts at a sex party and ultimately costs jobs, but not hearts.

We all know an hour spent in the library is an hour well spent. Now we can say the same about a dollar. Every dollar invested in Victorian public libraries generates $4.30 of benefits to the local community.
