Pew asked Americans if the U.S. had a responsibility to accept refugees. No group -- racial, by age, religious or political -- was less supportive of that idea than white evangelical Protestants.

And we told your station the exact same thing last time - that this is a Q&A opportunity for constituents, not political reporters from other outlets, and it needed to be resolved in time for the second show. We’ve been consistent throughout.

Murphy’s office explains that he didn’t pull out of call-in show because of the reporter — it was an issue he had with the show’s format. My only response (as a listener; I’m not involved) to is that the last show Murphy did also had same format.

To be fair, I don’t think the problem was *the* reporter. Rather, any reporter asking Qs. They want ’s outlet. But only strictly on their terms. And the other stuff is on point. Resume.

Tough break for NJ residents because is whiz on school-funding issues and would have helped sort out exactly where the governor stands on what is sure to be a key concern in upcoming NJ budget talks. Remember it was school funding that helped cause last year's shutdown.

TODAY: Mayor deBlasio wanting to "starve" a reporter he didn't like + NJ Gov. Murphy cancelling an appearance on his own call-in show because he didn't like a reporter + ex-Gov Christie using a private lawyer to conceal public emails = bad day for transparency in NY-NJ govt

At last moment cancels appearance on statewide "Ask Governor Murphy" call-in show airing tonight at 8 pm on because he didn't want to take questions from a certain reporter who was going to be on the panel.

Fewer refugees now admitted than at any time since at least the 70s. But for those hoping to flee persecution, it may only get worse:

The Christie Administration (backed by a weak laws & weaker judicial rulings) wouldn’t even turn over their infamous T100 list of the 100 towns they’d dole out favors to in order to advance Christie’s reelection chances. That’s the list underpinning Bridgegate. Still secret!

I mean, we had to get lawyers involved to find out his media email distribution list. Emails themselves? Fuggedaboutit.

Also striking that this comes out on the day that New York reporters sift through deBlasio emails. The only emails we ever saw that were sent or received by Gov. Christie, despite a multitude of requests, came via Bridgegate subpoenas.

Nothing could exemplify Chris Christie’s longstanding hostility to transparency more than having his private lawyer — a close friend, whom he once appointed to a US Senate seat — hide public documents involving Jared Kushner.

Immigrants have helped make this country great and New York the safest big city in America – and I know knows it too because he’s said it to my face.

Thanks, Alison! It has been encouraging to see that so many of my radio brothers and sisters deal with the same internal drama while listening to themselves...

Here Trump repeats a version of a baseless claim he has made many times, which is that the New York truck attacker brought in two dozen relatives through “chain migration”

We sometimes get desensitized by the ongoing Cuomo-de Blasio feud but it's still pretty wild that the Democratic mayor of the largest city in the state -- and the country -- isn't at the State Democratic convention.

It is quite striking that Sen. Jeff Flake feels comfortable decrying the death of democracy under Trump at an Ivy League school but feels its inappropriate to confront the president to his face in a private meeting.
