I’m organizing a Chromium Platform Security Summit for developers of products that use Chromium! Anyone who works on such a product is invited. We’d also love to hear from OS developers! 🥳 groups.google.com/a/chromium.org…

I know the feeling, yesterday I accidentally salted the water I used to boil my corn tortillas
Didn’t come out right.

I would like a Twitter feature that mutes anyone who gets mad at 538

“The people advocating for a complete switch to 100% nuclear power should have an exit plan in case it goes wrong.” There, fixed it for you. But you didn’t want to correctly interpret the argument anyway, so what am I really doing replying.

If 538 set the chance of two heads coming up on two coin flips at 25%, and then two heads came up, you would be embarrassed to say “they missed horribly”. Which is what you’re doing.

You have no idea if they missed horribly, at all. They aren’t predicting the future, they’re taking polling data and giving odds based off of it. The way it played out was simply one of the possibilities in the ~28 percent chance that Trump won.

RFC 5321, section 2.3.11 says local-part must only be interpreted and assigned semantics by the host specified in the domain part of the address. I.e. there’s no standard for how to treat periods or pluses, it’s however the hell the email server wants to treat it.

Also, hiding IP addresses seems like a difficult thing to do on web scale? And a powerful fingerprinting mechanism?
