This is remarkable given how well he’s pitched this year - but this is just the second time all season that Jeremy Hellickson has completed six innings of work.

So the game was supposed to start two minutes ago. The tarp is on the field. A little is falling. There has been no announcement of anything. But we’re in a delay. I’m not happy about this.

Remarkable watching Isner and Anderson battle for 6 hours, 35 minutes with those stakes. As someone who gets worn out jogging for 20 minutes, I cannot imagine digging that deep. Kudos to both guys, and man, do I feel for Isner.

Hey Jon Isner and Kevin Anderson: I know you’re tied 12-12 in the fifth set with a spot in the Wimbledon final on the line, but what’s really important here is I’m starving and need to get lunch. So if you could finish up real soon, that’d be great. Thanks.

Nats players pushing for Anthony Rendon to get more credit nationally isn’t anything new. But Bryce stumped for Rendon for the All-Star team after tonight’s game, and said he’s sad Anthony isn’t going to be included in that group.

Chelsea described her frustration level as “higher than it has been at times, but lower than it has been on one or two other occasions.” So that’s...something. Tune in Saturday at 8am on to hear Chelsea on the state of the Nats!
