Even if that were true, it's an award for performances in that year, not future potential

haha! Most of the West Ham fans I've spoken to have taken the loss actually. Glad to see one still plugging away. Good for you

incidentally, if you add Maddison's number to the three (9) you get Jack Grealish's tally...

seems to make sense to anyone who isn't a West Ham fan though, which seems unlikely to be a coincidence

I didn't criticise Rice. It needed them to be included as it was a reference to the lack of balance in England's midfield as a whole

I do know exactly what I wanted to convey. I've explained it countless fans to countless West Ham fans. Do you not find it odd that nobody has taken it as a direct dig at Henderson or Mount? Rice has a huge part to play for England. Think he's great and have never said otherwise

without meaning to be disrespectful, I've not heard of pundit feed. For what it's worth I think Rice is a better DEFENSIVE midfielder than Henderson. Not sure the latter really is that and when he is fielded in a deep two I don't think it works that often

every comment only from West Ham fans. No one else has taken issue whatsoever. I deliberately stated the fact that it was England's midfield as a whole that I was referencing, not the individuals within it.

perhaps because the tweet was posted before the Bulgaria game

As I said, the tweet was in reference to the balance of the midfield based on the fact that I don't think a double pivot of Henderson-Rice was necessary/worked

It wasn't the premise of the tweet. The premise was to highlight a lack of creativity in midfield along with a player who may offer something different.
