Gamers and game makers, what are the most important quality of life / settings that story-driven adventure games (think The Walking Dead, Life is Strange) should have but don't currently include? Anything specific to the genre?

Straying into good accessibility = good design territory here, but as well as pause and skip options during cutscenes, I'd love to see more ways of reviewing cutscenes/dialog - e.g rewind buttons or text logs.

Good accessibility always equals good design ;-) Have you checked out The Outer Worlds yet? You can toggle a conversation history on/off during dialogue. Shame they used such a small font for it though.

Ah, lovely! Just starting out with it, I'll have a look. Such an odd mishmash of accessibility successes and failures with it so far: the devs were obviously making an effort in some areas, but missed some crucial stuff in others.
