So what are everybody’s wishlist items for iOS 12 that aren’t dark mode?

As much as I’d like Xcode for iPad, I’d really want to see a much more robust and reliable filesystem to support it than iCloud Drive. Does anybody actually trust iCloud Drive with git repos? *shudders*

Files on iOS could definitely do with a v2 — there is a lot of low hanging fruit. I’d love to see macOS’ column mode, external drive support, much better file extension handling. Pervasive zip archive support across iOS would be very welcome too

You’ll enjoy Yukon then in 2019.

Is this tied to the Springboard revamp (which your article suggested was also delayed to 2019)?

Somewhat. iOS 13 “Yukon” will have a big iPad-focused feature upgrade as well, including an updated Files app. some other things in the works are tabs in apps like in MacOS, same app side by side, Apple Pencil stuff. The home screen redesign is iPad focused.

Ah, was thinking more of the filesystem side of this (new Springboard = opportunity for documents to live outside of apps) but revamp makes sense as part of an iPad-as-productivity push too. Thanks.
