A crew from Marine Rescue Cottage Point has rescued three people on a drifting boat about 15nm east of Barrenjoey Head. The journey back to Pittwater will take up to three hours, depending on whether the vessels need to change course to avoid numerous whales in the area.

Impromptu medal presentation today from Commissioner , who presented me with my National Medal for 15 years service. It’s hard to imagine that I’ve spent more than half my life in the NSW RFS. Made some great connections and friendships, and hope to continue that trend.

A crew from Marine Rescue Ulladulla is responding to rescue two people on board a 5-6m open runabout that has broken down 10nm offshore. Rescue vessel Ulladulla 30 is deploying after the boat's skipper radioed the unit's radio base for help.

Safe! A team from Marine Rescue Shoalhaven has returned five people to shore after their runabout broke down 21nm off the coastline. The disabled boat is safe at Crookhaven Heads and rescue vessel Shoalhaven 30 is back on its berth in Shaws Creek.

A crew from Marine Rescue Shoalhaven is embarking on a lengthy mission to rescue 5 people stranded on a disabled 7m runabout 21nm east of Shoalhaven Heads. The crew of Shoalhaven 30 is expected to reach the boaters about 7pm & plans to return them to Murrays Beach in Jervis Bay.

A crew from Marine Rescue Jervis Bay is activating to rescue two people whose boat is grounded on Boat Harbour Beach just inside the bay. The pair called for help to refloat their 4.8m cabin runabout after it was left high and dry on the beach when the tide went out.

A crew from Marine Rescue Ballina has responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into the Richmond River near the Burns Point ferry at South Ballina. The rescue crew used their vessel's sonar equipment to help locate the car in 4.3m of water. Emergency services remain on scene.

Two crews from MR Ulladulla are back on shore after a mission to locate a 5.5m boat that capsized about 6am. The crews navigated rolling seas to locate the boat in 25m of water near Sullivans Reef, suspended at 10m. The couple thrown overboard managed to swim to shore.

UPDATE: Two crews from Marine Rescue Ulladulla have found fishing tackle & other gear floating off Sulllivans Reef, just outside Ulladulla Harbour, indicating the possible location of a boat that overturned earlier this morning. The two people on board swam back to shore.

A husband & wife are safely back on shore after being thrown into the water when their new 4m dinghy overturned on the Tweed River. They were among eight people rescued in three operations, the last ending at midnight, by MR Point Danger, with help from local boaters.

Out on the water today with - testing out its new amphibious vessel. The crew also spent time finessing their rescue skills - but were interrupted with an emergency 30 km off Bateau Bay. A charter fishing boat has broken down and is being towed back.

MR Sussex Inlet was tasked after midnight to search for a boat with 2 people on board thought to be about 300m off Sanctuary Point with no navigation lights or radio. After a challenging search in the dark, the crew returned the boat safely to Sussex boat ramp by 2.30am.
