When you arrive at the beach, identify the surf lifesavers or lifeguards. Feel free to ask them about the day’s conditions, as well any additional beach safety advice they might have. They are highly trained and knowledgeable about beach safety and conditions.

Lifejackets save lives. If you're boating, on a watercraft, or rock fishing, things can go wrong very quickly. By wearing a lifejacket you increase your chance of survival. 99% of rock fisher fatalities, and 62% of boating fatalities were not wearing a lifejacket.
