A profoundly simple idea came to me last weekend as I was sitting in conversation with three old friends and a dog. I don’t know exactly whose idea it was, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the dog’s. 😉 (1/2)

Beautiful statement on Barbara Bush from President George W. Bush. Mothers should keep their sons on their toes. And how beautiful to have a settled soul. It's something we should all aspire to. Amen.

Barbara Bush served her country with class. She served her family with love and compassion. I’m grateful I knew her. And as an American, I'm grateful for her service. My heart goes out to her husband, children, great-grandchildren and the entire crew. A life beautifully lived.
