OK, Twitter taken off my phone after this Tweet. See you in 5 or 6 months. I recommend all despairing tweeps do the same. Regrouping in private is the way to go for a while.

Actually, i think we need to suck it up and get mobilised, in a civil and productive way. Just sayin'.

OK, Press Gallery, how come a retired member picked the vibe when you told us Labor would win? Why did you get it so wrong? Why do you exist? Please reflect, for once. You actively helped M win. You promoted his makeover. Fuck you.

2. Civil disobedience and rupture of our polity inevitable. I blame, among others, Labor. It should have announced a comprehensive plan to for Central Qld to be the renewables capital of Oz, including free training and retraining of workers. So be it. See you in 5 months.

1. A last point before I go (I have a plan btw). Nats will make it a condition of the Coalition that taxpayers subside a new coal fired station in Central Qld - they promised it and have to deliver. Adani yes means Clive and Gina swoop for their coal mines.

I was fired up in those days, I'd just moved to Scotland and felt that if we'd managed to stop that war we'd be emboldened to reverse a lot of the rest of the neoliberal project. My first lesson that the truth doesn't always even get a chance to shine.

This election outcome has woken a lot of people up. Ordinary people in my workplace and community are making small acts of rebellion, we need more ideas on how to change things from the ground up.

Reckless? They were mild conservative reforms generally backed by such radicals as The Reserve Bank and many leaders of business and industry. The difference was the propaganda and scare campaigns run by the Murdoch media...as attested by their own employees. Open your eyes.

I reckon there are a multitude of factors and there will be endless analysis of this election. But it clearly can't be business as usual for any of the groups or parties that have been campaigning for change. Everything should be up for examination. We need to learn and adapt.

Mainly the Murdoch media and their monopoly in Qld which curiously no MSM commentators seem willing to call out. That and Clive's Propaganda juggerault. Aussie voters weren't so much informed this time as marketed to.

Margo, I remember your comment & strongly believe independent regional journalism is something that needs rejuvenating & there could be a strong role to play there. Have a break then come back and brainstorm ideas. There's a whole social movement bubbling along here to help.
