I hope I can summon in no more than 200 words a decent reason why a game is where it is.

Last year would’ve been easy, Drake Kulick. Give me a striker with long arms. No one would get into Anthony Nelson. He’d be like Chara.

Are we all at around 200 carries for Toren Young and maybe 150 for Ivory Kelly-Martin? That's where I am. A shot at Iowa's offensive depth chart for 2018 (I said shot):

The Twitter should know that after you sent me that picture I had to tell you, yeah, I walked by that lake all week and it was full of alligators. I'm not sure it would've stopped you.

Mayham (I get to call him Mayham) was joking. I'll bet anyone $100 will have a bike to ride for the 2018 college football season. If he wants one. Remember the Drowning Pool tweets? The windows are locking and long term is black ice.

List is complete. I can officially count to 143, but it took some time. There is going to be debate. I surely went wide right on some of these. All of our perspectives are different. I will love hearing your stories as this project unfurls.

Now look at him! One of the coolest parts of my job is watching these guys grow and mature. Maybe, some day, I'll grow and mature, too. Maybe. Someday.

I first met Colin Cole almost 20 years ago now. He almost left Iowa because he missed his home in Florida. When he was young, his interviews were really quiet.

The Purdue game was two pirates fighting on a plank over sharks while cannons where going off and with arrows being shot at them. It was Evel Knievel coming out of the rocketship in tatters and giving a great, big old thumbs up.

I really don't know. I'm not a subscriber. I think the Athletic has embedded for a lot of people in hockey coverage. That was an unmet need. Probably can't make it on just that, tho. Their CFB coverage is intriguing, but I haven't consumed a lot.

There are some games that are embedded for me. All of our perspectives are different. I'm not saying mine is anymore keen than anyone else's. This is one of those games. I even talked with KF about it this summer. I'm not sure he didn't tear up again.

It was absolutely mind blowing. It takes a lot for me to react vocally in the press box, but I'm pretty sure I uttered a pair of "Holy something somethings."
