Currently, business and multi-unit dwellings (apartments and condos) subsidize the cost of waste for single-family homes, so a move to a utility would have a benefit to those property owners in terms of taxes.

These changes are for single family residential. Mulit-unit and ICI (industrial, commercial, institutional) sectors will be discussed in the future.

Congratulations to for the highest participation in the 2018 CHB Homebuyer Preference Survey. Very interesting and exciting to see the top four “must have’s” from new homebuyers in Saskatchewan is energy efficiency. One main driver for this is future cost savings.
