I'm a liberal internationalist, but being a liberal internationalist isn't about being nice or having meetings at the UN or using words like 'core interests.' It means public institutions governing commercial power instead of being governed by reckless plutocrats and monopolists.

For certain self-selecting members of the U.S. elite, the random freshman roommate match at Yale or Princeton is the only time they will ever have to be really seen and known by someone outside of the club. Kind of amazing to see how it has played out for both Cruz and Kavanaugh.

More people are displaced than ever before — nearly 69 million. The scale of that crisis is hard to grasp, but visitors to “One to Another” will see it in a new light.

This is an important question. I recommend Marjorie Spruill's excellent history DIVIDED WE STAND, about the origins of Roe/feminism backlash politics and their fruition in 1977 and onwards til Reagan. (My interview with her: )
