History ALWAYS repeats bc the one constant that NEVER changes is humans - courteous, greedy, envious, loving, pride-full/pride-less, & so forth-Doesn't matter the tech or the times-Caveman to 21st Century-humans are the same. Time we changed that view. Thanks Ed for sharing that!

Some food for thought here. History repeats itself bc the human personality (greed, envy, love, hate) never changes. AndyJackson's ego & financial meanderings caused the Panic of 1837 which lasted until mid-1840s. Can America afford Trump's meanderings (financial & otherwise)?

I recommend Doris Goodwin Kearns new book "Leadership in Turbulent Times" Good look at Lincoln, T.R., L.B.J., and F.D.R.. If you're a student of any of these men you'll know empathy is the one leadership quality all definitely shared. Different today isn't it?

I have a new blog site - America's Scrapbook - devoted to the little stories in America's history. They're about folks, matters, and moments from our past, once important, but now largely forgotten. Please stop by and join me.
