Research suggests chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) diagnoses rose by 27% in the past decade. Studies also estimate 2/3 with COPD are undiagnosed. We need more research to better understand the prevalence of the disease. More:

This we’re raising awareness of lung volume reduction (LVR). LVR can involve surgery to remove the worst-affected areas of a lung so healthier parts can work better. Valves can also be used to cause similar effect. More:
