That, to my eternal undying shame, was the first ever 7" single that I bought. My only defence is that I was 11 years old at the time.

Opening a new pub at a moment in history when the PM can click his fingers and order all pubs shut within almost no notice is ... brave? Foolhardy? Who knows!

So the Prime Minister can't answer MPs' questions on Covid because he can't work his laptop and no one can come in and help him work it because he's self-isolating

A lovely Christmas lockdown break. Means we can stay home with our loved ones, watch tv, eat way too much food, drink too much booze and slump into the sofa doing nothing. JUST LIKE ALL FUCKING YEAR

Interesting, so it seems like it's due to a combination of factors. Easy-to-pass driving tests in some States, lack of MOT-equivalent meaning less safe vehicles, maybe a significantly larger number of teenagers driving than in the UK (cost of cars/insurance prices them out here)

My understanding is that in the US, in an emergency medical situation it's "treat first, bill later", but obviously I'll defer to those who do live in the US to explain, if that isn't the case!

Why is that, then? UK roads typically have much higher traffic densities & narrower lanes, if anything you'd think UK would be worse for injuries/death? Is it different vehicle standards, different driving standards, different laws? I'm curious!

No one gets triggered like a Tory. Stood in the shop doorway shouting at us yesterday 🤣🤣 You’re angry at the wrong thing mate, be angry that we need to be a food bank drop off point.

I have never been to any of the southern states of the USA. But every time I hear Black Velvet I feel like I know exactly what it would be like to be in Louisiana or something similar.
