Sorry, but no. While Signal is preferable to Whatsapp, it still has central points of failure and requires exposing your phone number. There are many superior alternatives to Signal:

You have a lot of things listed as "anonymous" which I know for sure are not: XMPP, Briar, IRC, and Reddit at least require accounts...
