While protocol fees (0.02% maker; 0.04% taker) won't necessarily be flooding in just yet, stakers also receive the LRC cost mandated by the protocol to spin up an exchange contract. That is currently 225k LRC. WeDEX beta2 & Hebao = 450k in near term. 3/6

In addition to the DEX owner spin up cost, all other DEX "costs" - i.e. slashing for suboptimal behaviour such as reversions, delays - are now routed to the Protocol Fee Pool for LRC stakers. This is a new, small change in 3.1.1; prior to this, those LRC costs were burned. 4/6

As stated in the Golden Window article, the Loopring Foundation staked the first 10m LRC. Beginning in early Feb, the Loopring team itself plans to stake their portion of LRC which has began vesting. The team's 20% locked since inception is here: 5/6

Locked since Sept 2017, this began vesting 1/24th per month 4 months ago. None have been sold. In a few weeks, we will begin staking ourselves, doubling down on our faith in the protocol. Since staked token age is a factor, the window remains a benefit/courtesy to users. 6/6
