So after all the feedback, I am summarizing the definition of cloud-native as: "Cloud-native apps are highly distributed, infrastructure-aware applications designed to leverage the elasticity and economics of cloud architecture."

I think you're right there - they don't. But that's okay. Because enterprises generally don't care about adhering to strict definitions regarding architectures/models.
