Sigh, exactly! We do have flexibility with the cover letter so hopefully I can tell a compelling story regardless!

Good shout, especially for gov and hour I briefings I think. The only issue is my department typically doesn’t include a service dossier. It ends up being a few paragraphs in your cover letter typically.

Friends, we will soon be posting a *tenure track* assistant professor position for the newly-formed Center for Information, Technology, and Public Life (CITAP) at UNC, Chapel Hill. I'm co-chair of the search committee! Please take note, share or apply if that's possibly you!

This set of articles is so well designed and threads many hostile influence campaigns over the last five years. Politics are a pattern of attack.

Thanks! I definitely find that multi-direction flow to be the case and it just goes against the typical expected story of “knowledge mobilization”.

Thank you! There is a mix but generally I feel supported/like public-facing work is valued. Very little info to letter-writers which is where I get a bit more anxious.

Tenure file day of fun - Friends, what are convincing ways to show the value of policy talks, op-eds, speaking before parliament/gov, etc. to a tenure committee which might be more traditional (ie show me a book, solo papers)?
