Bizarrely it can be cheaper to get to us than to some parts of the Uk from within the UK! Flights booked advance €99 and train to The Hague from Amsterdam Schiphol airport about €20. Bargain! We have 3 junior schools and 2 senior schools :)

This is properly interesting. “Those who scored the highest for using their strengths daily, also had the highest scores on their levels of well-being. Therefore, using character strengths every day could help secondary school pupils to maintain higher levels of well-being”

By this definition this means that over a third are not ‘equipped to thrive’ in secondary school. Is it just me, or is this clearly not ok?

Yes - we scrapped . identified importance of enagagement for retention in the profession - this is dependent on intrinsic motivation . Creating a learning based culture that leads to incremental improvement is the answer!

oh dear - this is the state of the car I today. Was advised by your customer services to go and clean the car myself to rid it of the dog hair throughout! I did think I was paying for a clean car 🚗. Who knew?

Goal-setting does appear to be important - employees need to be involved in setting and committing to goals, ideally linked to larger mission/meaning/purpose. Avoid linking incentives/rewards to individual goals.
