For my son Nic, four years of hard work ends with a joint JD/MBA. As a Willamette law graduate myself, I had the incredible honor to be able to hood him at yesterday’s graduation ceremony. So proud!

In Alaska, steel and aluminum tariffs have the potential to impact everything from driving up the cost of materials needed for a natural gas pipeline to significant military construction projects.

I’m pleased to see the administration take the necessary step of lifting steel and aluminum tariffs on Canada & Mexico. I had previously expressed concerns about the impact these tariffs would have on our economy, trade relationships & particularly on our nation’s energy sector.

In light of in AK, the City of Wasilla & Tanaina Elementary School held their annual celebration where they planted trees. Thanks to everyone across the state (including Smokey the Bear) that took part in events like this to support our forests & promote sustainability.

Congratulations to George "Radar" Lambert of Kotzebue on being awarded by w/ the Silver Lifesaving Medal for his heroic actions from 1998. George was 10 years old at the time when he saved his 12 year old friend from drowning using a life jacket.
