Pro Tip: If a blogger NEVER shares her negative opinions about a brand, ANY brand, I wouldn't go with her recs. Not saying everyone has to pull out a full feminist analysis (hi it me), but everything isn't sunshine and rainbows. Not every product is THE BEST PRODUCT EVERRRR

One of the most important things I ever learned about the lingerie industry is that ALL lingerie is handmade. It doesn’t matter if your underwear is from Target or La Perla, someone sat down in front of a sewing machine and stitched it together with their own hands.

“People no longer want to be told what is beautiful; they want to be told they're beautiful as-is. Victoria's Secret is either willfully unaware of that shift or has chosen to ignore it.”

I wrote a whole, entire book about lingerie and never once said, “80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size.”

I’m really into Chantelle soft stretch at the moment: Natori Bliss is also a perennial fave.

Underwear should come in a wide range of options because different people need and want different things from their knickers. 😊

My favorite nonsense response to this is when people insist that using a sewing machine isn’t really handmade. I imagine those same folks think using a pot and a stove isn’t really cooking.

“Victoria's Secret fell into the trap of believing that, b/c of their size, they no longer had to keep up w/ consumers. However, consumers are not only savvier now, they have more options...which means people no longer have to shop at Victoria's Secret.”
