And now I'm gonna get off the Internet for a while. Take care of yourselves.

I'm not a distraction or an argument or a debate. I'm a woman and I exist and I matter.

This is very, very, very, very, very, very bad. I cannot express enough how bad this would be.

If you're angry about what is happening to trans people, a very real way you can help actual trans people in need is to browse the hashtag and donate to someone.

Friendly reminder that ~2% of people are born Intersex, and naturally don't conform to male/female anyway. This is literally the equivalent of outlawing REDHEADS.

The list of straight cis male writers whose works I have enjoyed who are now showing themselves to be blithely unconcerned with trans rights is growing too quickly for my taste.

This is a horrible, horrible take. Please don't write off the lives and safety of trans people as a distraction. This is very important and it matters a LOT.

What bigots don't understand is that they CANNOT make us disappear. They want to. But we are here and we aren't going anywhere. They can make lives miserable for the most vulnerable of us, and they will, but they can't erase us.

If you’re an editor at a major publication, let me tell you that your cis writers probably don’t have the range to write commentary on this. DM me to connect with some kickass trans freelancers.

Script: “hi, I’m a resident of [state], and I’m calling about HHS’ proposed plan to base gender civil rights protections on ‘immutable biological traits.’ This plan is scientifically, legally, and ethically indefensible and I am registering my strongest possible objection to it.”

Don’t just tweet support at me. I’ll be fine. Support black trans women, support homeless trans people, ffs stop replicating this policy in your home for trans kids, support the trans women whose appearance makes you uncomfortable because of internalized transmisogyny.
