2. Nigeria has about 10.5 million out-of-school children & 60% of them are girls. Functional public libraries would help them to 'catch up' & become literate enough to have basic numeracy skills & read labels on bottles of medicine at least.

1. I am in auguish as a Nigerian Librarian who understands that literacy is the basic of all skills, the foundation of a better, inclusive life. in communities help kids, young people & adults to be literate especially those who can't access formal education.
