Latest I heard in August was the Anthony Gormley and a few others are trying to get it back up and rolling again. They are up against some chap from the US who wants to turn it into a hotel. The jury is still out......i think. Thanks for the feedback :-)

yes, we are nuts about the seaside. They say 'mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun'. But really, we go out in any weather at all, determined to enjoy ourselves no matter what.

Ha ha.. Yes that's certainly true! Philby turned them inside out! Not to mention his mates.

A painting of Pylle in a mile or two up the road. This small country church featured in the novel 'A murder of quality' by John le Carré. The author once lived here in so i guess he must have spotted it then.

Another I did on the beaches of the UK over the summer. As mentioned before these are part of my collection for a beachscape oil . I have never really painted waves before so that has to be sorted first. Very frustrating as I want to get on with the characters.

By pure coincidence in 2011 I was in New York on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. On the day itself security was immense so I took time to paint these three NYPD fellas in Times Square. I wondered if any of these guys were about on that very sad day.

I thought I would dig out a few from what was rather a long, hot summer. I am working on a sea (beach) scape right now so I spent the aforementioned summer to gathering 'volunteers' to feature in it. A British beach without people isn't a beach in my view.
