Sounds fun! Wondering what the discussions will be ... how to come up with a creative, unique magic spell?

hi, Christina. I am investigating SVG creation tools other than Adobe Illustrator. Do you have one that you recommend? Thank you!

I spent time trying to put on my macbook pro - got weird errors. Need to ask more when I have time - next week? It was nice to find a new allurement, though.

Yes, I did something similar with Back to Top buttons. Found many solutions on CodePen ... made a collection. My final result is code from this one or that one. And a media query, because none had mobile done differently.

What did you learn today? Here's a well-written article about design patterns in JavaScript <-- comparisons to architecture make it interesting and contribute to the explanations. addEventListener is related to the observer pattern.

My daughter does not think it so funny that we do not have a tv. I guess we are not the only ones! But we do have Netflix ... it is how I learn what my grown children are up to.

I find it interesting, how people get excited about different tech. I saw some bar chart races (populations of cities from 1500s to now) and I want to get back into d3. Love history.

A3: Last year I dove into React and JavaScript when I lost my job. I have been doing LOTS of Flexbox at my new job. But I am tempted to learn something new. Python? More d3.js? React Hooks? I like learning new things. Suggestions welcome.

When you lose something, you realize A) it was not so important or B) it was really important, should have bought insurance. The answer is usually A). At least that is my experience.

I have Pocket in Firefox. I live in fear that I will forget my password. Or Pocket will disappear. This happened before ... some bookmarking system died that had tons of my bookmarks. But I can't say that I miss them. Can't remember what they were.

A1: often I have read about the language or topic for a while. I am an article horder. I would probably read through my horde and pick a simple tutorial for starters. Then look for mentors when it gets harder.

It is hard to fake interest and excitement. That interviewer clearly felt your excitement. I hope one day you actually get your pilot license!

Still learning, but this chat inspired me to find this simple tutorial (lots of complicated ones out there - easier to learn one thing at a time)

CSS animations are a topic I need to learn better. Can do certain things without JavaScript.
