I didn’t know that. It happened in Argentina too where my daughter in law is from in the reign of Evita who the world thinks of as a darling but the Argentinian’s grew to hate so I believe

I am so glad I live in NZ 5 m people.11 days no new cases only 1 active. There were peaceful support protests around NZ. Prime Minister freaked as social distancing was not adhered to. We have come so far to go b/wards. Sympathy wth the oppressed but not the rioters destroying

Protesting is fine but stealing / destroying property etc is not. IMO eg on tv a guy smashing a shop window of some unrelated small business owner and loading 5 tvs in a trolley and taking off.many unrelated people’s businesses burnt/things stolen. Two wrongs don’t make a right

Yes some take advantage(those stealing/looting)Some don’t think ( physical distancing).Scary to see what outcomes will be.The policemen are arrested/charged.Justice will be done,if not then that’s the time to protest. That policeman that murdered George should get life

And those people’s lives destroyed too because someone thinks they now have the right to steal & destroy. Photos on NZ TV of a man wheeling 5 TVs in a trolley out a store he broke into. Covid -19 risk too

Yes I definately mean him & the other people that call themselves men that stood &did not stop him-words are not enough-drag him off the poor man when he can’t breathe. However destroying unrelated people’s businesses & property & stealing -no excuse or justification

Everyone is stunned.A peaceful protest march in Auckland today in the rain.We are shocked with the looting & deliberate destruction of unrelated people’s businesses & properties. The policemenhave been charged and I don’t fancy his chances long in jail but riots!!

Congratulations on your retirement and your long committed career. You deserve to spend some family time now and enjoy life without all the extra of teaching
