OXFORD SCIENTISTS - I'm going to be in oxford on 13th Dec to give a talk and would love to line up some chats/visits with scientists while I'm there. Whose interesting/awesome research I should be visiting and writing about?

Just had my winter ! is caused by inFLUenza virus & the vaccine I received contains 4 types of inactivated flu virus. This means the viruses can't replicate in my body but can still be detected by my immune cells, which remember & protect me in future 😃

Brilliant ! “I have a PhD in virology but my mother’s ginger-lemon-honey recipe is the staple antiviral in our house” - I too am a passionate believer in the anti-viral power of ginger tea... still working on getting my PhD though

Sometimes my experiments are colourful 😃 The presence of proteins in my samples will (hopefully!) cause a colour change from green💚 to purple💜, which I can then measure to work out the protein concentration
